Tom Barnes Joins Great British Menu 2020
Tom Barnes, executive chef of our North West restaurants will proudly be taking part in the North East heat in this year’s series of BBC2’s Great British Menu. Now in its fifteenth year, the 2020 series of Great British Menu is themed around iconic food from children’s literature. Chefs will be tested on their ability to represent this theme, by initially creating six unique courses to include a pre-starter and amuse bouche.
Tom, who grew up in the Cumbrian town of Barrow-in-Furness, will showcase his cooking-style and culinary talents, competing against 32 chefs from around the UK.
Great British Menu 2020 starts on Wednesday, March 18th and Tom’s heat will air on Wednesday, April 15th.
